• What is Sizzix? In 1977, the first-ever consumer hand-operated die-cutting machine, the original Ellison LetterMachine, was invented in a small 2-bedroom apartment by LaDorna and Bob Eichenberg. LaDorna was an art teacher who identified a need for die-cutters in classrooms, saving teachers valuable time previously spent cutting out paper and card into letters and numbers.
